Structure of the Program

The structure of the Certificate comprises a total of four courses and one event organised by the Environmental Law Center. Two of the courses are under the Faculty of Law, and two of the courses are under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Cologne. In principle, students can distribute the required events over as many semesters as convenient and can thus design their schedule flexibly. Those who have successfully attended the four lectures and one event at the Environmental Law Center, will receive the certificate. Events counted towards the Certificate will be offered through the Environmental Law Center, such as visits to environmental law firms, conferences, panel discussions or lectures by practicing environmental lawyers. Information about these events will be provided by the Manager as it becomes available.  The precise choice of courses and events available for each semester will be communicated by the Manager of the Certificate at the beginning of each new semester.
