The Green Office Initiative Cologne is a student university group that aims to establish a sustainability office within the structure of the University of Cologne according to the Green Office Model (https://www.greenofficemovement.org).
The office promotes the anchoring of sustainability in operations and the establishment of the topic in teaching and research. In addition, communication between the University and the City of Cologne is supported and all existing sustainability efforts on the part of students and the university can benefit from more exposure.
The sustainability office is supported by student assistants and university staff, who initiate new projects and support existing projects together with voluntary students and academic staff.
This ensures continuous work. Existing student initiatives are to be supported and to be made part of a network. The Green Office is also intended to provide a contact platform for sustainability inquiries from students, professors and other staff.
The student initiative meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month and is always looking for motivated students who would like to work towards more sustainability at the University of Cologne. If you are interested, please send an email to: green-office
